Senior Information Security Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Security Consultant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance on cybersecurity risk management, governance frameworks, and data protection strategies. This role will involve collaborating with clients to assess their cybersecurity risks, develop governance frameworks, and implement effective controls to mitigate threats.

Responsibilites

• Lead cybersecurity risk assessments for clients across various industries, identifying and prioritising potential risks and vulnerabilities.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity governance frameworks tailored to clients’ specific needs and regulatory requirements.
• Provide strategic guidance on data protection strategies, including compliance with relevant regulations such as GDPR and other data privacy laws.
• Conduct cybersecurity gap assessments and recommend remediation measures to enhance clients’ security postures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cybersecurity controls and processes.
• Lead cybersecurity awareness training sessions for clients’ employees to promote a culture of security awareness.
• Work on project proposals and respond to RFPs (Request for Proposals) from clients, showcasing our expertise and capabilities in cybersecurity risk management and governance.
• Utilise extensive consultancy experience to understand clients’ unique challenges and provide tailored cybersecurity solutions.
• Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices to continually enhance our service offerings.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies to ensure successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline constraints

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity risk management and governance consulting, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity key standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 27005, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CIS Controls.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with demonstrated experience in leading and managing cybersecurity projects from initiation to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of data protection regulations and frameworks, with experience in implementing GDPR and other privacy laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 LA, ISO 27001 LI, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Extensive consultancy experience, with a demonstrated ability to understand clients’ business needs and provide strategic cybersecurity guidance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
